Launched by the Italian company Perugina in 1922, Baci chocolates quickly became the most famous in Italy and are now available around the world. The Baci brand was introduced to Portugal in 1959 by JMD and is currently owned by Nestlé, which bought Perugina in 1988.

Baci is a recognised brand in the praline chocolate market, currently present in more than 90 countries around the world.
In Portugal, Baci is present both on the Continent and in the Islands, in the retail and wholesale channels. In the retail sector, it has gained wide coverage and is sold in Grupo Jerónimo Martins, Sonae, Auchan, E.Leclerc, Intermarché, Dia and El Corte Inglés chains.
Baci currently sells one format of its chocolates on a permanent basis. During the Christmas period it releases limited edition products.
